Calling of the Brotherhood

"It was 1969 when I met Duane Allman. Actually, I had heard him, but I didn’t know who he was back then. It was like the Pied Piper calling, and I mean that. I know all this mysticism might sound crazy, but you’ll understand later. It was like being called by the big spirit in the sky. Like the calling of the disciples."

“I’ll admit it right now. I am a big fan of Red Dog, and have been even before he allowed me to interview him back in 1973 for a story in Rolling Stone. Hell, he was already legendary back then. But now I just have to say that I am extremely jealous of the Great Dog, because I’ve just finished reading “A Book of Tails.” True rock, the kind that lasts forever, is about honesty and humor and love and chasing the elusive buzz of greatness. Cameron Crowe

This is an easy read and it is full of great stories!!! If you are an ABB fan it is a must read!

Not for the faint of heart. It's a dog's life, after all. If you're a fan of Almost Famous and you want to know about the grittier side of life on the road in the late 60s and early 70s, this is the book.
